Cinnamon Cream Cheese Rolls

I made these forever ago, just on a whim because I wanted a cinnamon roll. So me being me took it a step further and came up with these! (I hope as I type below I remember what I did hahaha!)

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Rolls


1 can crescent rolls

4oz cream cheese (somewhat softened)

1/2 cup sugar

cinnamon (or cinnamon and sugar)


  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees (or what the temp says on your crescent rolls)
  • Unroll the crescent rolls and press the seams together so there are no breaks in dough
  • In a small bowl, with a mixer cream the cream cheese and sugar together
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture on the unrolled crescent rolls and sprinkle (or dump, depending on how much cinnamon flavor you want) the cinnamon (or cinnamon and sugar) all over the cream cheese mixture
  • Once covered, very carefully roll the dough into a tight log
  • Slice the log into your preferred width ( I did about and inch or so)
  • Place them on a greased baking sheet and bake for about 11-13 min (or the amount of time stated on your crescent roll package)
  • Pull them out and enjoy!

**They are good cool for a couple days too, but I wouldn’t eat them too far after that





Blueberry Muffin Bread Pudding

Have you ever bought something that you thought would be really good and then you dive in and realize it is not as good as you hoped? That is what happened with me with these blueberry muffins! I love blueberry muffins and had high hopes for the ones I bought at Price Chopper and they were a huge let down, but I couldn’t find it in myself to throw them away. So they sat on the counter for maybe 4 days and staled while I thought of something to do with them. Then A suggested bread pudding, I have never had bread pudding before but I figured what the heck lets give it a shot! I found this recipe and gave it a shot and here are the results:

Blueberry Muffin Bread Pudding


2 cups granulated sugar
5 large eggs
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 large blueberry muffins broken up into pieces
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 by 9 inch pan.Mix together granulated sugar, eggs, and milk in a bowl; add vanilla. Pour over broken up muffins and let sit for 10 minutes.

In another bowl, mix and crumble together brown sugar, butter, and pecans.

Pour bread mixture into prepared pan. Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over the top and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until set. Remove from oven.

This was really good but maybe a tad too sweet! If you don’t like it really sweet, I would suggest cutting out about 1/2 cup-1 cup of sugar since the muffins are already sweetened.

Oreo Chunk Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is one of the first recipes I found and made on Pinterest and I make them for different functions here and there and they are always such a HUGE hit!


I am a HUGE cookie monster which I am sure I have mentioned before, but these truly are so good!! Then again, anything with Oreo’s in it is going to get an A++ from me ๐Ÿ™‚

Oreo Chunk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe makes between 4 and 5 dozen cookies.


2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

1 package vanilla instant Jell-O Pudding (not prepared)

1 dash of cinnamon

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

2 cups chocolate chips

30-40 double stuffed Oreos, crushed into medium chunks (put in a ziplock bag and use a rolling pin)


Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit

  • In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking soda, salt, package of vanilla pudding mix, and dash of cinnamon.
  • In a second larger bowl beat together the butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until creamy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Slowly beat in the flour mixture until smooth.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips and Oreo chunks.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool on wire rack.

Recipe, that I actually found, and made prior to these little kiddos being born. I made these one Sunday morning while pregnant and A & I LOVED them. I hate that I find so many recipes on Pinterest try them and rarely make them again. BUT this one is a keeper and I HOPE to make them again soon (you know when I have FREE time hahaha). And there are just so many more recipes on Pinterest to try when I do have that time so we will have to pick and choose ๐Ÿ™‚

Apple Cinnamon Sconesย 

Apple Cinnamon Scones
2 cups All Purpose Flour
1/4 cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
1 stick {8 tablespoons} Chilled Unsalted Butter
2 Apples peeled and chopped (they called for shredded but I like apple chunks in mine)
1/4 to 1/2 cup Whole Milk, plus more for brushing
1 tablespoon Sugar, for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl combine the first 7 ingredients. Then cube up the chilled butter and add to the flour mixture. With a fork, blend the butter and the flour together until small crumbles form. Add in the apples, stir. Gradually add the whole milk, stirring until the dough forms.
On a lightly floured surface knead the dough 8-10 times before forming into a rectangle. Cut eight wedges and place on prepared pan. Brush with a little milk and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

So one lazy Sunday morning (maybe this weekend!) give these a shot, I promise you this is a Mommy approved Breakfast! I tested this Pinterest recipe so you are guaranteed a no fail ๐Ÿ™‚

Chocolate Dipped S’more Pretzels

So while on vacation a couple weeks ago, we made those striped cookie s’mores and we made these pretzel s’mores, that were equally as good…clearly it was a s’mores addicted vacation!!!! These were a little more messy to put together but they were such an awesome snack!!!



We found this great idea here and made them like this:

1 bag of pretzels

1 bag of big Marshmallows

1 package of 6 Hershey bars

2 bags of semi sweet chocolate chips

1. First we cut the marshmallows in half and stuck them in the microwave for about 30 sec (if you have a window just watch until you see them get puffy and be the judge of the best time limit), until they got really soft.

2. While the marshmallows are cooking we placed two chocolate pieces on a pretzel

3. When the marshmallows are done, I used a knife to transport the marshmallow to the pretzel with the chocolate then used another pretzel to scrap the marshmallow off the knife and press the pretzel sandwich into a s’more.

4. Then while those cool a little, melt a bag of chocolate chips in the Microwave for about 3 minutes, stirring a couple times

5. When the chocolate is all melted, dip (or coat) the s’more pretzel into the chocolate and place it back on the plate and place them in the freezer for a little bit to harden the chocolate.

6. Once the chocolate has hardened, place them in a zip loc bag and store them in the fridge to keep the chocolate from melting.

**If you have left over ingredients which you most likely will, go ahead and make some chocolate covered marshmallows or pretzels…these were also made and enjoyed on vacation.


Striped Cookie S’mores

So last week we went on an amazing, relaxing vacation in Maine on Eagle Lake! it was nice to have a vacation where we literally did nothing, I read 4 books and enjoyed the water!

Anyway, what better way to enjoy a vacation then with books, water and S’MORES!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love them, I don’t know how you like your marshmallows toasted but I like mine a toasty brown, if that thing catches on fire, and there is black…FORGET IT! IT IS RUINED HAHAHA, that is where I pass it on to my Husband or a friend to enjoy…I think that is GROSS!

Well one of my genius friends, who got this from another friend had a great less messy idea for s’mores, and I am always up to try something new! Well, this is what we did instead of the normal s’more with a chocolate bar and graham cracker square…

That’s right we used the striped cookies as our graham cracker and chocolate, it was SO PERFECT!!!

Toast those bad boys, then take two cookies, fudge side down and squish that marshmallow in between and enjoy the gooey hotness!!! These were so amazing, they were less messy and oh so much more tasty then boring old graham cracker squares!!

The summer is young and I know there will be plenty more fires and s’mores, so go ahead and give these a shot, you won’t be sorry!!!

White Chocolate Oreo Cookies

I am feeling some what better but sorry no pics ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Here is a one of the first cookies I created way back when and I hope you enjoy them!

White Chocolate Oreo Cookie


1 1/2 sticks of butter (softened)

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

2 eggs

2 1/2 cups flour (sifted)

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp salt

1 bag White Chocolate Chips

2 Cups chopped up oreo’s (I normally place them in a large zip loc and use a wooden spoon and whack them hahaha so that they are in small chunks and pieces)


Preheat the oven to 375ยฐ

Mix butter & sugars

Add eggs & vanilla

Add sifted flour, salt & soda

Add White chips and cookie pieces and mix until well blended

Place teaspoon full drops of dough on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 mins.

Enjoy these heavenly creations!
